The Celebrity At Starbucks and #2

Story #1: I don't know if you recognize the man above. At Starbucks today I saw Hollywood actor Victor Garber. You might have seen him in «Titanic» as the «clock man», or in the TV series «Alias». My celebrity radar is maybe a bit stronger than many others, cause my friends had never seen him before. He was drinking a tall black coffee if you really need the hot gossip!

Story #2: My friends and I went for lunch at B-Bar today. The waitress giggles' when she ask me what I prefer to drink. I thought that was strange, so I tried to find out what it could be. Was it because I answered, good! – perfect!, on the question «how are you» when we came? It could be, but it was strange to still giggle about that. When she came back with the food she asked me - Are you Joel? – No, I said. I took of my sunglasses and presented myself. She asked my friends, cause she still didn't believe me, – Is he Joel? When they also said no, she grabbed my arm and lifted my right t-shirt sleeve. She got so embarrassed, cause she was expecting a tattoo or something. Her face was flashing red and she ran away. The last time she came over, she said that she really did think I was Joel, a friend of her. I left her a card when we got the check. Thank you, love Joel :) She must be really confused.

Stalking Celebs at the Museum

For some strange reason there always seems to be celebs everywhere I go. Today Celine from inewyork.no and I were at the New Museum in SoHo, just trying to be cultural. Actress Claire Danes and her movie star boyfriend Hugh Dancy, did also enjoy their friday at the museum - her parents was there to. The engaged Hollywood couple looked very happy watching «conversations about Iraq» and a 35 mm porn movie for 15 minutes. They kissed and and hold hands on their way out. They even bought flowers at the store on the other side of the street.

Paparazzi life in LA

Last week I tried the paparazzi life outside THE celebrity hangout, NOBU in LA. Ever since I was a little boy, I always thought it was something really fascinating about hunting people down with a camera. After trying that for a night, I do have to reconsider it. The photographers was really sad people. All they talked about was who got the best picture of Lindsay Lohan's ass that night and how much money they could get for pictures of Rihanna's beaten up face. The youngest paparazzi there must have been only 14 years old, driving around on his scooter.

Well, since I was there anyway I had to see if something happened, so I waited. I waited for one and a half hour! All I got was this video of Puff Daddy (or what ever his name is this days) coming out of the club. No more paparazzi life for me!

My favorite Bollywood star and «Slumdog Millionaire» actress, Freida Pinto is on the cover of the new issue of Vogue India, and she's looking good. She might be the next big thing in Hollywood. Don't you think?

Now film maker Woody Allen wants her in his new movie with other big names like Antonio Bandaras, Naomi Watts, Josh Brolin and Anthony Hopkins. The filming will begin in London later in 2009. The title is still a secret.

GQ thinks Justin Timberlake is the most stylish man in America this year (and I sort of think so myself) so now he's on the cover again. Well, what can be better for Mr. JT than his own runway show at New York Fashion Week? This is William Rast. Check out the show above folks!

Big slum for the milionaire

What a great show the Oscar's turned out to be this year! Hugh Jackman you rock! I'm really really happy for all the awards to «Slumdog Millionaire», and Beyoncé, you kicked some real ass tonight baby. This years show was very funny, it was emotional and it was really, for the first time, NOT BORING! I watched the Oscars on the big screen at the legendary Roosevelt Hotel, just across the street off the Kodak Theatre, I even got a free Mojito. After the show I decided to walk down to the Slumdog after party at Sunset Towers (and it was a long walk). Somehow I got in at the red carpet with my camera and I shot some pictures of the cast from the film. I even got to speak to the director Danny Boyle about his new Oscar. He told me that he didn't know where to put the statue but that he was very happy for it. 

PS: I can also confirm that «Slumdog» actress Freida Pinto is even hotter in real life!

Mickey Rourke is the man!

Last night Mickey Rourke took home the Best Actor prize for his role in «The Wrestler». It all happened at the Independent Spirit Awards in Santa Monica and you should deffenentley see this clip! The acceptance speech is about 6 minutes long. He managed to forget about his co-star Marisa Topei's name, dedicated the award to his dead dog Loki and just did the best speech a man can ever do.

Is Beckham's car stolen?

The other night I almost crashed right in to this parked red Aston Martin DB7 after a Grammy after party on Sunset Blvd. I had to step out and take a closer look at this beauty. I noticed the license plate and the number 

D BECK7, well that has to be David Beckham's car right? Well, he is in Milan so it can't be him driving. My guess is that the car is stolen and that I'm the only witness. Call me for more details David!

No love for Myers «Guru»

The Golden Raspberry Award Foundation has announced the "winners" of their 29th annual Razzie Awards, and we were there! Dishonoring the worst acting, screenwriting, songwriting, directing and films that the film industry has to offer. Nominated in five categories, Mike Myers film «The Love Guru» is the biggest loser this year with three Razzies, included Worst Picture. Paris Hilton's «The Hottie and the Nottie» and Pierce Brosnan's unforgettable singing in «Mamma Mia» is also among the "winners". Congrats everyone!

Black Star Power

Grammy Award winning pop ikon, and my all time favorite showgirl, Beyoncé Knowles opened the NAACP IMAGE-awards 2009 in LA yesterday and we were there. She performed her new song «Halo» with all her heart (well, at least it seems that way). She was wearing a nice white dress that really recalled old Hollywood glamour. Halle (I can't believe she's 42) Berry and Tyler (the guy that always, for some reason is a woman in all his films) Perry hosted the show. Other black people at the NAACP was, Will Smith and his wife Jada, Steve Wonder and his piano, boxer Muhammad Ali, Oscar nominee Taraji Henson, the amazing Jennifer Hudson, Al Gore (yes there was one white guy at the show as well), Rosario Dawson and the list goes on and on. At the end of the night we even got Oscar nominee, Taraji Hensons autograf.

«Ugly» Nephew

Mark Indelicato who play's the roll as America Ferreras nephew in «Ugly Betty» was also enjoying a free movie ticket at the premier of «Confession of a Shopaholic». And we have all the gossip right here. HE HAS PIMPLES! The 14-year old kid has pimples.

Miss Cold and Colder

New York was freezing my balls of last night but the «Shopaholic» star Isla Fisher and Miss America showed up on the red carpet stylish and warm. It's so funny that Miss America used her crown but I guess that makes her feel pretty.

The British actor Hugh Dancy walked the red «Shopaholic» carpet alone last night and everyone was wondering where his «Romeo + Julie» girlfriend, Claire Danes was hiding. Well, she tried to snick in at the back, but we got a shot of her. Let's play more hide and seek Claire!

New York Paparazzie Moment

Guess who I had to rescue from the paparazzies today?

I was at the «Confessions of a Shopaholic» junket at the Ritz-Carlton hotel in New York. It was when the interviews was done and I took the elevator to the 1st floor I recognized a little girl. An adult was carrying her and he was trying to hide his face. I knew I had seen the girl in a picture somewhere. The girl was Olive, Sascha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher's daughter. And yes, the man was «Borat» himself. He asked me if I could see some photographers outside the building. I checked and, yes there were. They were running around with their big camera lenses. I told Sascha what I saw and he decided to use the back entrance of the hotel.
So there you have, my first New York paparazzi moment.

What does Madcon and Eurovision Song Contest got to do with New York?

Well, today I had my second weird musical experience in «The Apple». I was at the screening of the new movie «Confessions of a Shopaholic» with Isla Fisher, and Hugh Dancy, witch really did not have anything to do with this story at all, but on the subway station on my way home I watched some break dancers getting dizzy and suddenly they put on «Beggin» with the Norwegian duo Madcon. But this is neighter not really the weirdest thing. Last week I dropped by Abercrobie & Fitch at their superstore on 5th avenue. I was checking out some t-shirts when they suddenly played Maria Haukås Storeng and her Grand Prix-hit «Hold On, Be Strong» in a sort of up-tempo techno remake. It was actually not bad. I guess Norway will have some stars on the top of the charts real soon!

IN CHANGE WE BELIEVE

This was the best shot I could get of the new president. It was the coldest day ever in D.C, but it was so worth it when he stepped out of the car, right in front of us. The audience was going nuts and so did I. Can't wait to see what President Obama will do for the American people. Lets hope they will spend more time in the gym. I heard McDonald's is selling cheeseburgers for $1.

The Jonas Brothers has left the building

The Hanson Brothers, I mean The Jonas Brothers performed on the Disney Channel show for President Obama and his family last week. This is a super exclusive clip of the Brothers leaving the back entrance of the Verizon Center. As you can see I was all alone!

Princess RiRi and Mr. Spielberg

During the inauguration of President Obama me and my friend Andreas desided to make a story on the Georgetown area in D.C. We met these to girls, Sarah and Jenny in the Betsey Johnson store at Wisconsin Ave. They told us that pop-princess Rihanna and movie-director Steven Spielberg went maniac with their credit cards as they dropped by the store. It's good someone is using money during the financial crisis.

On Thursday I had a chat with legend Patricia Field after her discussion on «The Art and Design of Ugly Betty» on the Fashion Institute of Technology. I told her I liked her green jacket and she said «I have a crush on you as well». The old lady knows how to melt a young mans heart...
