My friend Nat took us to the Mercury Lounge, on 217 East Houston St. tonight. One of her coworkers plays guitar in the band Bridges and Powerlines, so we got free tickets (we love free stuff) to their concert. They were playing together with Anathallo (a Chicago indie art-pop ensemble) and Samamidon (a singer/banjoist with two other band members).This was a different music experience for me. Strange, but really cool and funky. You should definitely check them out!
